The Himalaya lost about one meter after the earthquake … – Radio Panama

Scientists at the US Geological Survey determined that part of the Himalayas lost about meter high after the earthquake 7.8 on the Richter scale. The party is sunk about a hundred kilometers west of Kathmandu.
 
 According to US experts, height loss was due to the movement of tectonic plates . The area where the Everest is not analyzed.
 
 The area is one of the places where locals and tourists still missing. More than eight thousand people died in the quake. 17,800 people were injured and around 290 800 buildings were destroyed.
