The US space agency NASA released a series of shots HD Pluto, presenting them as best shots of the first dwarf planet to see in decades.
July 14 satellite NASA New Horizons became the first aircraft that flew past Pluto, giving scientists unprecedented images.
HD pictures published previously revealed the stunning geographic variations on the planet dwarf, from high mountains to sand dunes and ice floes.
“The new images give us a vision of super high definition on the geology of Pluto,” said New Horizons principal investigator Alan Stern said in a statement.
The NASA said scientists expect more pictures in the coming days, describing already received as “first best levels of Pluto that humans can see in decades.”
