Facebook ‘killed’ suddenly to a variety of users – The Trade

Facebook ‘killed’ for a few hours to a variety of users, including its own creator, Mark Zuckerberg. Different profiles were included as ‘commemorative’ because of a bug in the social network, as admitted by the company in a statement to the site “TechCrunch”.

The pages of the ‘affected’ stopped being active profiles to become commemorative -mode to enter when the user dies-. So reported various users to the site of support from the social network.

The pages memorial appeared with a message of condolence to the user’s contacts. “We hope that the people who love Mark will find solace in the things others share to remember and celebrate his life,” we read for example in the profile of Zuckerberg.

Facebook sent a statement to the site “TechCrunch” to explain that the failure was random and regretted the ‘scare’ of some to believe that certain contacts had deceased. He said that the problem was present for a short time and it was already fixed.

“For a short period today [Friday], a message destined for profiles memorial was erroneously posted in other accounts,” said a spokesman for Facebook. “This was a terrible mistake which we have now fixed. We are very sorry that this happened and we work as fast as possible to fix it”.
