The Concorde was one of the aircraft’s most legendary ever created by man. For 27 years he flew at a great speed from one continent to another. But Boom Technology presented a supersonic aircraft that can travel 12,000 Miles in 3.5 hours. His name is "Baby Boom" and can be the successor to the Concorde that we expected.
the official name of The airplane is the XB-1 and the company presented the first prototype at a conference in the airport of the city of Denver, united States. For the year 2017 they plan to have ready the first model of the Baby Boom, which would be a two-seater, but for the year 2020 they hope to have ready the first units of the second business model, able to carry up to 44 passengers.
Both of these aircraft would be supersonic, and could travel huge distances in very little time. For example, the flight of the city of Los Angeles (united States) to Sydney (Australia) has a duration of 15 hours, but the Baby Boom could travel the 12,000 miles between the two cities in less than six hours. The flight from New York to London usually last more than 7 hours, but the supersonic would do the journey in less than 3.5 hours.
there has Not been a commercial flight supersonic since the withdrawal of the Concorde for the last 13 years. Boom Technology want to revive this era with its new and precious planes. It is expected that the Baby Boom to reach a speed of 2335 miles per hour (Mach 2.2), but since the flights with just 44 passengers we can expect that tickets will not be cheap. [via the Verge]
