Samsung is not giving up, and works on smartphone flexible – The World

11-11-2016 10:15:00 p. m. | Management – Ripe.- Experts ensure that 2017 will see two flexible devices. Who will be the first? Perhaps it is Samsung, well, you just file a interesting patent that evolves all the concepts presented earlier.

The mechanism is operated semi-automatic, as they showed some months ago in a patent of muscle artificial.

According to the portal Xataka, the patent was filed by the Intellectual Property Office in Korea, which shows a smartphone capable of bending in half, thanks to a special hinge located in the middle of the body.

This hinge would allow folding the device from the side of the screen, because when it is unfolded the hinge will have a kind of lock to avoid kinks and accidental. To double it will only be necessary to activate a mechanism, with which this smartphone will change its design and size.

In the outer may be implemented on a secondary screen, which will give quick glances when the smartphone is folding. So you might be able to access notifications and quick tasks that do not require to use all of the screen.

This mechanism is allow you to have the components to the sides of the hinge, so that it would not be necessary for the manufacture of other components, outside of the OLED display, able to bend.

LG introduced an advancement of this technology, with its Flex 2, but only in screens; also Oppo with another prototype, but the one that has called more the attention was Lenovo, who recently presented his first prototypes with flexible, fully functional, very similar to Samsung.
