(CCM) — Telegram has announced that it is working on an option that will allow its users to make calls (in English) through its app, a decision that reinforce their position against other messaging applications market.

Telegram, one of the main rivals of WhatsApp, announced this news through its founder, Pavel Durov, who via Twitter explained that is among the priorities of the company to enable features such as audio calls and voice. "What we will do," said Durov to a user, although not explained details about the release date and the features of this new tool, integrated in the Telegram.

The year 2016 was one of the most active and fruitful for Telegram and in 2017, it seems that it will also bring big surprises.
