Gmail will block JavaScript to prevent attacks through e – mails- CNET in Spanish

Google wants to help you keep your mailbox with a count of zero threats.

This week, the giant of search has announced that from February 13, Gmail will block by default any file with content that includes JavaScript, and so prevent cyber attacks through the post office.

The files .js shall be prohibited and shall enter to the list of files blocked in the that are already .exe, .msc and .bat for security reasons, the executable files. When you try to send files of these types, Gmail displays a notification denying the deputy and explaining the reason.

“If you still need to send these files for legitimate reasons, you can use Google Drive, Google Cloud Storage or any other storage solution for sharing or sending files,” says Google in the statement.

The security in emails and apps that the manage is of the utmost importance. The emails are used to send links to infected or lead to a site with malware. In addition, the phishing is another of the most popular methods to breach through emails with the impersonation.
