The new update of WhatsApp incorporates three new features for iOS.

The version 2.17.1 of WhastApp is here, and incorporates some interesting news for the daily use.

One of the more likely it will catch the attention is the possibility that you send a message while you’re offline, although this is only the start of a few more features than expected.

WhatsApp allows you to “send” the message, although will not reach his destination until you have coverage.

WhatsApp now allows you to send messages ‘offline’

If you’re one of those that you go in the metro or that you have areas of your home where it doesn’t work out the Wifi, don’t worry. A new feature of WhatsApp will allow you to write and press the send button on all messages you need, although you do not have coverage, no problem. Once you regain signal, the app will send all those pending messages.

While it seems like a novelty, this feature has been practically ever since Android and the truth was something annoying that iOS does not incorporate, because the forgetful — as to me — we can forget it then send any pending messages, especially because you had to write them again, because when you open and close the app it erased the space for the message.

WhatsApp now allows you to manage the content sent by your contacts.

better at managing the use of storage and data

This new version of WhatsApp has updated the section “data Use and Storage”, available in the Settings section of the app. Now by accessing this option you will be able to delete chats and messages directly from a particular contact.

this way if in the group of your family know that you have sent 100 videos of kittens, you’ll be able to go and directly manage those files, check your weight and decide whether to empty or not the chat. An interesting detail is that you’ll be able to choose what type of files you want to delete. When you click on the option “Empty chat”, you’ll be able to select if you want to delete only the images, videos, or all of the contents.

Now you can choose up to 30 photos or videos to send to your contacts.

Increase delivery of multimedia content

Something that has also improved is that now you can send more pictures and videos at the same time to a single contact or group. You can send up to 30 at one time.

at the moment functions to be expected as the total integration with Siri have not come to WhatsApp, so we will have to keep waiting. Late last year the app was updated also for Android with an important feature: now allows you to see videos without the need to download them and occupy memory on your device.
