Up to 8 users will be able to activate your account on a Nintendo Switch – Channel 44, The Channel of the News

In an interview conducted yesterday by Kotaku, a representative of Nintendo responded to some of the questions that were asked around the new console of Nintendo, and revealed more data than what we can expect this march 3, when Switch goes on sale.

Despite the fact that the representative was questioned about a variety of topics, the responses, the central and more information were: the possibility of backwards compatibility, the use of user accounts (existing and new) and downloads in Switch.

On the first point, the questions focused on the possibility of that Switch was backwards compatible with games from other Nintendo systems to which the representative responded specifically: "the Nintendo Switch does not have compatibility with games released on other systems, besides that the controls are not compatible with the same. It may be that there is support for some type of controls in a update in the future. We don’t have anything more to announce".

On the second point, the representative was questioned about the future of the accounts and downloads that have been performed so far on the Wii U, 3DS and a probable relationship with the Switch, especially considering that the new console has its own Virtual Console without link with the existing, but the response in this regard was: "we have nothing to announce for now."

Finally, in the third issue, related to the downloading of content and the relationship that this will be saved with a user account, and the disappearance of the lock regional, the representative replied: "Nintendo Switch has no lock for regional, but we recommend that users buy their games in the region that corresponds to them to ensure a full service and support. The user will access the eShop of the country which has been registered in the account of Nintendo. In this sense, there will be up to 8 user accounts on a console".
