Apple will launch online TV service in September – The Universal

Apple will launch in September US online television service, which is carried on speculating for years, reported today the “Wall Street Journal”.

The service, which will offer about 25 channels will be available both via Apple TV player as iPhones and iPads.

Add to ABC, CBS and Fox, three of the main channels of the country project, but so far no NBC, due to a clash with the owner company of Comcast Cable, the paper said, citing informed sources.

Comcast is working in an apparent own online player. According to the “Wall Street Journal”, the new project from Apple could be officially announced in June.

The new service would come to compete with the cable channels that are traditionally seen in the US and can cost up to $ 100 per month.

Apple has spent years talking to US TV channels on a TV service over the Internet. The founder, Steve Jobs admitted in his autobiography that once could not overcome resistance of industry respect.
