Today Microsoft said this at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and also to show developments in universal apps, Windows 10 Surface Hub, Hololens and other products of the company, announced new smartphones.
It is known -and was again voiced by Stephen Elop in MWC- new premium Lumia including at least one flagship- arrive in the coming months along with Windows 10, which is still in development and promises to hit the market after the first half of 2015.
That’s why the two new smarpthones presented by Microsoft, are considered medium / low and end up with Windows Phone 8.1, although, as confirmed all this OS- Lumia to be updated to Windows 10 .
The first smartphone Lumia 640 is announced, marking an evolution in several respects with the 630, as well as expanding the size of your screen to 5 inches, now is HD 720p 294 ppi.
It has a quad core processor and 1.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB storage, expandable through Micro SD slot card and a 2500 mAh battery.
The rear camera is 8 megapixels with LED flash, and also features HD front camera for video calls and selfies.
In service comes with 30 GB of free space OneDrive a subscription for Office 365 one year.
The other model is the Lumia 640 XL, which has most of the features, but as the name implies is larger, considered a phablet because it has 5.7 inches while maintaining HD resolution.
Furthermore, its 13 megapixel camera increases and rises to 3000 mAh battery.
Both models come in 3G or LTE versions, including also Dual SIM and start trading in April in the first markets to values before tax ranging between 139 and 219 euros.
