Hondurans will see tomorrow the planet Jupiter – La Prensa de Honduras

Madrid, Spain.

Without binoculars or telescope, from Honduras or any part of the earth will see Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system, which will be 660 million kilometers, about 270m closer to what is normally humans.

This phenomenon can be seen tomorrow Tuesday in the early morning hours. Once every year the Earth is directly in the line between Jupiter and the sun.

This position allows the sun is fully illuminated by the Sun and its closest point to Earth. The union of these effects makes Jupiter, when it reaches the highest point in the sky, the brightest object in the night sky and the second brightest planet after Venus.

“Jupiter has been see with the naked eye always, but tomorrow will be closer to Earth and that will increase the brightness, not the magnitude of Venus. Moreover since January is visible, of course not with the intensity with which it will be tomorrow but at dawn “said Ricardo Pastrana, professor in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics Unah.

he indicated that this phenomenon has no effect and is a natural process by the rotation of the Earth.

experts recommend that to recognize this planet have to look at the brightest point in the sky, more than any other star or planet. Also have a yellow glow and brightness is fixed, while the stars twinkle, the planets is stable all night.

“Being in the opposite direction to the sun, when night comes fully illuminated by the sun. This allows it to look pretty good, but the orbit of Jupiter is still far from ours, “explains Juan Antonio Bernedo, technical chief of the planetary Madrid.
