The largest online store in Japan, Rakuten, took his business to the heavens. With the use of drones will deliver balls and drinks to golfers of a field located in Chiba prefecture.

According to Japanese string NHK , the service will begin to offer golfers in May this year, using drones company Autonomous Control Systems Laboratory , a local venture in which Rakuten has invested.

at the moment the project is in the testing process, as can be seen in the video NHK .

users can use their phones to place orders that will leave the base located near the field.

Kenzo Nonami, president of the development company, hopes this is the beginning of a new way of doing business linked technology.

the top leader of Rakuten, Hiroshi Mikitani said the company expects in the future to expand this service to residential level.

this idea has also been contemplated by Amazon , which in mid-month received authorization from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), to test drones for this purpose.

the temporary permission was given under some conditions, the FAA said. Drones operated by Amazon will have to fly only during the day and a maximum of 112 meters. They must also remain “within the field of vision” of the pilot, which will have to be licensed.
