The search giant launched a pilot program called Google Hands Free (hands-free), an initiative that seeks to provide greater ease when make purchases in stores or shopping centers.
with this tool, people can make payments without having to take your money or use your credit cards. The only thing you need to say is: ‘I pay with Google’
The user must download an application (available on Android and iOS) and create a profile picture.. Then when the person approaches the establishment to make payment, the cashier will use the initials of the customer’s name and photo associated with the application. These data, as Google says, will be screened at the cash registers.
Google Hands Free works with bluetooth, wifi and with installed in outlets cameras. According to the company, the data collected in both the camera and the application is automatically deleted and not stored on any server.
This technology was presented in early 2015, but during this week google today announced the pilot tested in some chain restaurants, located in Silicon Valley, south of San Francisco Bay area. Not yet known the exact date of arrival of this technology to other countries.
