Mexico (Notimex) .- During Tuesday night held an astronomical event that occurs every 13 months, Earth and Jupiter will align perfectly with the sun behind him; also be able to observe the phenomenon called “superluna”.

The solar system’s largest gas planet rises in the east at sunset and rises above the sky at midnight, said the National Administration Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA, for its acronym in English).

The agency explained on its website that this year the planet Jupiter will be about 665 million kilometers away from Earth.

Because of this event, astronomers can see the great red spot and its four largest moons discovered by Galileo spacecraft. Io, Europa, Callisto and Ganymede

in turn, on Tuesday, the phenomenon known as “superluna”, a term attributed to astrologer record Richard Nolle, who defines when the moon is close (within 90 percent) of its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit.

Because of this approach, the moon will shine more than normal and it will be appreciated 15 percent larger effect will be reflected in the oceans and will coincide with the solar eclipse that can be seen in Asia and continue to live on page NASA
